Re: PLA and PETG gluing/smoothing ?

Acetone works nicely with PLA, but I was asking for something like wise for PETG.

PLA and PETG gluing/smoothing ?

When you print with PLA you can smooth your printed object with ACETONE and TOO you can use ACETONE for gluing PLA parts together.

Anyone know of some 'stuff' to use for same purposes when printing with PETG ?

Re: How to reset HOME where it was before cleaning HotEnd ?

Here is a picture showing the problem - clearly something happens after around 3,5mm of layers are printed ! The RED one to the right is printet long before this problem came up - the gray ratchets are way too high because of the first layers are ... I don't know ... too high or too loose or ... wha...

Re: How to reset HOME where it was before cleaning HotEnd ?

Thx - maybe it worked for you, but it destroyed my bed cover by messing around WAY to low so the nozzle ripped a hole right in the center of my bed. I don't think a wrong Z-Offset could be the cause of my original problem = changing layer height/quality after around 3,5 mm printing. I've tried to dr...

Re: How to reset HOME where it was before cleaning HotEnd ?

> GrueMaster The missallignment was not a result of updating the firmware - it worked nicely with the TM-firmware ! My nozzle got stuck - I cleaned it and when I got it all together again I did the manual bed levelling again (3-4 times) and then (I think) I ran the automatic measuring matrix 5X5 poi...

Re: My heat brake is leaking ????

In fact it's NOT the heat brake (=the threads between the heat brake tube and the cooling cylinder) it's leaking from the threads between the heat brake tube and the heating element ! I think I found out the size of the threads - I think it's a 6mm pitch 0,75 and it's very very loose when screwed to...

"I do not have a CR10 Pro, though when my 3D Printer has a leak I fix by what ever needs are required."

I do too ... the problem though is I don't know the thread size and what to use as packing material - in fact that's why I asked my question.

My heat brake is leaking ????

I have a CR10s PRO that's broken down ... again ! That threaded tube between heating element and the cooling is leaking melted filament big time ! I saw a video where it was said that the threading is 6mm threats - I think it's an undersize 6mm compared with my 6mm threading tools ! What is the righ...
