Re: Folgertech FT-5
Mine was order right after Ben... $449 plus upgrades for that size?!? I just couldn't pass on it. I had been specing out a custom build and it was going to cost over that. Musts: BLTouch is going to be ordered here soon. I am going to order metal brackets here as well. Next: Titan... I might wait an...

Folgertech FT-5
I am amazed that Paul hasn't posted about this one yet. Someof us are getting these printers as, for the price, I don't think they can be beat outside of sourcing your own parts. 300 x300 mm build area for $499 base price, $50 coupon available as of now. Anyone get in on this kickstarter, looks interesting... The flesh colored objects, like the hand, are a little freaking looking.

Re: AON 3D Printer
I really think one can be made cheaper. Been working on a CAD model in my head since I saw it. looking at how a Beast could be changed or a new one built to be more in line to the AON. I really don't need the heated chamber at the moment, but the independent heads... hmm. Currently, guesstimating $2...

Re: The Beast
I have 4 young kids, do you know how many dioramas I am going to have to make, a 3D printer is going to make that easier. Factor in that half my kids or twins and they will have the same projects at the same time. Then there is fixing toys instead of throwing them out.

Re: AON 3D Printer
There are a couple of beast owners that have them coming in. I think there is only one person known to have theirs built and operational. I just hear it is "great".

Re: The Beast
Yes, but at almost 5 times the price.
Actually it reminds me more of the Aon, but at double the cost... which I don't see a thread on here
EDIT: fixed the missing thread on the AON.

Re: The Beast
Remember, they are too busy making and shipping to even post an update on Kickstarter... :) They have started to redesign a few printed parts to be done in acrylic layering laser cut sheets. Not sure if that is really better or not, but the printing of parts apparently has been slowing down producti...
