Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Another option would be to construct the bed plate as a bent component. Even small tabs (5mm) on all edges would increase the stiffness significantly.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
I tend to have a little sag in the middle of the build plate. Measuring fro front to back is near perfect, but left to right I am looking at a valley that is V-shaped (deep in front, getting less and lesser towards the back). Usually I just print a bottom layer with some overextrusion and go back to...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Gripe, :-x My print plate isn't fully level. It's level to the 3 bed levelling points, but across the rear there is a slight slope from high on the left to low on the right. It's only 0.2mm difference across 100mm but enough to bug me. Have you checked if that might be caused by the screw heads sti...

Re: Graphic gurus?
There is something that I truely love about phpBB. Of course it has some early 2000s touch to it and of course there are a lot of things you could change, but the system in general has survived for a reason: It simply does the job it was meant to do. Even the current port to mobile is nice IMHO! Als...

Re: E3D V6 heater cartridge on UMO
I ordered various parts to convert my machine to the E3D hotend including a nicely machined aluminum block from far of lands over a year ago. The X-Y block is somewhat similar to this: Link to eBay Being fed up with my original hotend munching through lots of teflon insulator inserts (PLA eating awa...

Re: Cheap way to make it a LITTLE quieter...
Hello new forum! First of all, some OT appreciation to whoever set this up as a new haven for the lost souls of the former UM community! (That would be LePaul?) THANK YOU! Now on to the topic: I made a design to decouple the feeder from the printer frame about two years back, when I got my UMO+. It ...
