On Cura slicers you have a function that allows a random start print location called Z-Seam alignment.
Though if you choose this random function it creates more travel moves.

Re: First eight or nine layers are mush
We could use a lot more information please!
Which slicer are you using?
What is the slicer's setting?
Posting a photo of this bulging rim/lip will greatly help, because seeing is better than reading.
I would check the setting to see if you have inadvertently enabled the skirt function.

Is there a specific reason you want to use Klipper.
I have configured most of Marlin 1.x.x and Marlin 2.x.x to work with Hictop 3DP08

Re: Issue with printing, sliced with Cura
Do not know if this is a solution or not, here goes.
I have printed most recent models with PrusaSlicer 2.3.0 it is more complex to setup though the printed model show results.
I still use Cura for other models that need less perfection.

Re: Issue with printing, sliced with Cura
This is quite a frequent problem with Cura and happens quite often.
when any change happens on Z-Axis, could be many changes to the shape of the model, the outcome is always the same style texture surface change.
Look at this example

Re: Logo help for my new project
I would say they are Incomplete!
This being said the answer is they show only a small spectrum of the available 3D Printers.
These list do not have a single 3D Printer that I would have chosen for my forth 3D Printer for my workshop.

Re: It got really quiet in here...how can we fix that?
I have been using these sense beginning 3D Printing. An still can not tell you if they remove moisture from filament. A soon as the filament waterproof package is opened they are then placed in a container with a moisture Eliminator. I live in the Channeled Scablands of eastern Washington a desert t...

Re: It got really quiet in here...how can we fix that?
Without using moisture Eliminator I would have to make or purchase a filament dryer.
Though have kept my filament about 14 rolls in every large storage container with one, replacing every 6 months.
These are found at my local dollar stores.
