I've checked with a multimeter and both thermistors are between 6 & 8 ohms at room temperature. I hope that sounds right it's been years since i've done this kind of thing. As I understand it though with this type of thermistor the resistance drops the hotter it gets. If that's the case and thes...

I've checked the power connections and the plugs. What was strange was that the problem went away when I changed the boards but came back. I appreciate it sounds like a loose connection or broken cable but I can't see anything wrong.
