Re: HicTop 3dp-11 installing a BLTouch as a NewBe
This forum and some of the users here, like Roberts_Clif, are the only reason I didn't give up on 3D printing. This isn't my thread, but I still want to say thank you for all of the great information and help.

3DP-11/12 Go nuts upgrades
I had written a post about how much I dislike the SN04 and what a PITA it is to have to re-zero it every print lest I get bed crashes/scratches and how I want to put a BL Touch on and that I need help....but there's already a post exactly for that. Instead I'll ask the second part of that post: what...

Getting wavy / ribbed prints
Hi folks. I could really use some help, as I'm at a loss on this one. Recently I started printing some storage containers for a board game and, initially, things were going fine. The last few sets of prints, however, have developed the 'wave' / ribbed pattern you can see in the pictures. I'm printin...

Re: Replacement Bed
One of the first hardware upgrades I bought were different leveling screws (BIQU Leveling Component M3 Screw) I didn't actually install them until recently, but they're already better! I also just ordered a replacement carriage plate, the v2 of the one you mentioned.

Replacement Bed
I've noticed lately that I have to re-level the whole bed every other print (annoying) and, more troublesome, the back-right screw really needs to be ratcheted down to be level. Last night when I measured the distance between the bottom of the bed and the top of the carriage platform, that back righ...

Parts list for CR-10
I don't suppose anyone has a full parts list for the 500mm cube CR-10 they could share? I'd like to take a stab at sourcing, acquiring, and building one without a kit.

Re: Stock Firmware from HICTOP
Been absent a while as I've been busy printing! Still using the 'stock' that I got from the Hictop site, the pre-compiled version, but after Halloween I plan on re-visiting updated firmware. I definitely need to learn the firmware settings since I'm strongly internally debating building a 500mm cube...

Re: So many issues...
On a side note, I flashed my printer with the Hictop stock HEX file and everything is working. Now to pick it apart for settings to import into newer Marlin revs.

Re: Stock Firmware from HICTOP
I found some source on Thingiverse, but it won't compile. I'll probably pick it apart anyway and see what I can glean from it.

Stock Firmware from HICTOP
Has anyone had any luck in getting HICTOP to send them the uncompiled Marlin files for the firmware they ship on the control boards for the 3DP-11-ATL or 3DP-12?

Re: So many issues...
Cliff, changes made in configuration.h and configuration_adv.h, no change in printing. First layer still starts well above the bed. I'm unable to set an offset < 0, or at least have it recognize one. Here is my configuration.h, I've removed much of the large commented out sections, just to make it a...

Re: So many issues...
Here's a link to the Marlin build I'm using (1.1.5, some changes made for the Hictop i3 - like inverting the endstops). I can connect using both Cura and Repetier (which is what I'm using to send gcode commands). Here's a link to the Marlin build I'm using (1.1.5, some changes made for the Hictop i3...

Re: So many issues...
Shockingly I see to have almost everything working. My issue right now is that the beastie is starting prints about 2-3mm above the bed. When I follow your directions (LCD->Control->Motion) I don't see z-offset anywhere in the list. Can't quite figure out what I need to change in the configuration f...

Re: So many issues...
What do I have to change in the configuration.h file to switch from the inductive sensor (auto-bed leveling, etc) to the mechanical switch?
