Duet Smart Effector upgrade for BIQU Kossel plus

Bought a Duet Smart Effector for my BIQU Kossel Plus 3d printer.
I am wondering what length magnetic rods (Haydn Huntley’s) are needed. The stock rods are about 335 mm center to center (ball joint). Also wondering if I should use a Duet controller or the Azteeg X5 GT controller I have.
