Re: Anycubic Photon Mono 2
I use Elegoo ABS like resin, It has a bit of flex in it. I have a sealed container for the alcohol (97%) that I use to clean the prints and I cure them in the sun, I live in Spain. Take off any supports before you cure them, it's easier that way. Don't forge to wear gloves. I don't know about Photon...

Re: Wrinkles
It doesn't look like you have supports on the insides of the doors. Try adding them, but make sure they connect with each other to hold the doors in position.

Re: Wrinkles
I don't have the model so I'm only guessing.
I think the problem could be the sides (doors etc.) are too thin and are moving around during printing.
Perhaps you could add supports on the inside of the doors to stabilise them.
Also the supports look small, try larger ones.

Re: Distance between supports
I've just done a batch of very small parts and needed to get a good finish on the support face. All I can say is small supports, and as many as you can put it. As it's small parts if they don't work out you can always print them again. I always print a few extras at the same time just to be sure bec...

Resin or FDM printer
Hi all I started with a FDM printer and I'm on my second one now. Then a bought a small resin printer, Anycubic photon. Last year I got a Elegoo Saturn 2, a larger resin printer. For my work I do prototypes so I use the printers quite a bit. I have been using the Saturn for everything and the FDM is...

Re: Coffee Chat 2023
I have been doing loads of small prints for a project I've been working. The parts are very small with threads. I've learnt a bit more about the resin printer with doing repeat prints. I'm surprised how parts differ depending where they are on the build plate. I'm getting small differences (0.1mm or...

Re: Larger part won't print properly
I also found that if I print small slots (0.3mm) they print a lot better if they are horizontal to the plate instead of vertical.
Vertical it can be 50% or more failure, horizontal it's about 5% failure.
I don't know why because everything else is the same.

Free CAD programs like blender, fusion 360, On shape, Freecad, Tinckercad.
Some are easier to use than others, the more powerful the harder they are to master.
Start with say Tinkercad as I've heard it easy to pick up.

Re: Larger part won't print properly
Well I think I know why these haven't printed, the resin. As I've been printing a lot of very small parts I haven't needed to top up the tank with resin, so it's been in the tank a while, getting dust etc. I did a very large print and had to top up the tank, I noticed that the resin in the tank was ...

Larger part won't print properly
Hi all I'm having a frustrating time with some very small parts I'm printing on my Saturn 2 I did a teat print of the collet and it printed fine. This has a 0.5mm blind hole in the middle. Then I added a thread handle etc. and printed it, the 0.5mm hole is blocked. I've checked the part in Chitubox ...

Re: Adding colour to resins
Well I've added black to the smoky black and have done a few prints.
One thing is obvious, you have to mix the dye in really well. I put it in a bottle and shook vigorously it for a few minutes just before use.
The prints turned out really black.

Adding colour to resins
Hi all I want to print a part in black, but really dark black. The part is a light baffle so it has to stop the light. I can't find a truly black resin, they all seem to be a bit translucent. One option is to add a black tint to the resin, you can buy them in different colours. Has anybody tried thi...

Re: editing ctb file
I was wondering if you could pause it manually, if you want to stop in the middle that would be 50%.
You would also need to clean the print as you would have the original resin on the print and it would mix with the new colour as soon as it starts to print again.

Re: Anycubic photon
Hi. I also have an Anycubic photon. I've replaced the FEP and also bought 2 trays to use with different resins. I've had it a few years now and its done loads of prints, I use it for work and home so it gets a lot of use. I think I can still get parts for it here in Spain. I recently got an Elegoo S...
