Re: Please rank these printers
East3dgecko yeah, mine is still 2 steps away from finishing installing the upgrade. So much stuff to do has delayed this build But, with the ceramic glass they ship now the Z precision (due heat expanding/contracting the bed) now is quite impressive. I don’t have this glass atm to test but the print...

Re: Broken PWM on Ultiboard v2
I broke my bc817 8 times, first time I did pay a professional to change the transistor. But the sexond to 8th time I did it learning how to solder stuff and with kapton tape, air desolder and patience.

Re: Cura vs Simplify3D Facebook Poll....
I need to find the model I have...I had the opposite result. Simplify3D had the pieces attached, Cura 3.0.3 had them apart. That happens because the objects are separated not fully one object. Click Separate Connected Surfaces and fixed. S3D doesn’t fix the bad 3d objects for the user but Cura does...

Re: Extrudr PLA Tec Black
Yeah that material needs Oven
But they don’t explain jack. I would ask the seller for proper instructions

Re: Extrudr PLA Tec Black
Oh man I see how. PowR is a high impact strong BioFila class. Never tested it, I would drop a mail to them just in case the spool is bad or it has special needs like water absorption rate from air or maybe it needs oven after print? Well they don’t even share a pdf with specs. So weird. Clearly that...

Re: Extrudr PLA Tec Black
Any link? Maybe is a form of APLa that needs oven to get hightemp/stronger bond? I don’t know the brand that’s why I ask

Re: Extrudr PLA Tec Black
Yea Linen isn’t Tec. Same happens to Extrudr Flax that’s BDP but not Tec. So, is just matte finish without hightemp resistance. Layer bond for me on Flax is just great but is more flexible than pla. And resist the twist better, but flexes.

Re: Ultimaker Software News, Cura 3, Cura Connect etc.
I mean, really, what the heck kind of response is that? ? How many people design the pieces they print? 1%? 2%? Sorry that my answer offended you, but I design most of the parts that I print myself or at least modify them myself before printing them! Same here. And if the file it’s from other guy I...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Yea. Faster. For 50-60 I do 100mm/s sanding
Slower only helps if your top layers show too many gaps on the top layer surface. Fast will leave a nice look and you can increase the passes without loosing much time

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Do you know a good, not huge, model that can be used to fine tune retraction settings? I'm pretty happy with my S3D profiles but when I print certain retraction heavy models I tend to experience some under extrusion throughout those layers. If there are too many retractions Coast at end will make g...

Re: 3D Gecko printer
Well a bit update After learning how to adjust the Z of the printer and making a fancap, remixing part of a gudo design, using the 40x40 delta blowers, the print quality it's quite stunning. Check this Benchy 56minutes 0.2 layer 120mm/s and 70% underspeed for perimeters. Clearly this is a more than ...
