Re: What's everyone working on

I had Matterhacker brand spools do that repeated breaking in the feed/bowden. Their Pro PLA and their PETG. I won't buy "their" brand stuff anymore.

Re: What's everyone working on

Good luck!

I’ve been working on some forum improvements. The random spammers still manage to sneak through all the suggested defenses. Myself and the moderators do our best to zap the offenders and whatever spammy posts they post.

Re: Geeetech A10 3D Printer

Well apparently some feel I was asking too much of Geeetech for the thing to work out of the box? I’ve been seriously amazed at the response. Many people who had a similar experience as mine are disappointed at the fan boy mentality of some posts. I mean, had the machine I got been at least powered ...

Re: What's everyone working on

Impressive

I’ve had 7 printers churning out ear savers off and on, depending on demand. And what I learned from running so many machines at once is....it’s time to upgrade to quieter stepper drivers. 4988’s howl and are loud!

Re: Ultimaker Original+ Extended custom build at Stockholm Makerspace

Wow that’s an impressive rebuild I try to pop in here daily but like many, most of my activities are on the various Facebook groups I sometimes miss that UMO Original! I had fun learning on that. How do you like XT-CF20? My UM2+ prints it well and the prints have a nice matte finish. However I don’t...

I'm told the girls prefer Nerds, so maybe you're secretly upgrading?

Re: What's everyone working on

I'll admit I am new to trying the filament runout sensors. My Bondtech DDS came with it and I decided to use it. I've seen so many comment on false positives and the jury seemed to lean towards more problem than they are worth

Re: 1st 3D Printer: Prusa i3 MK3s vs Dremel 3D45

Hi Bob I don't own either but my lab had a lot of Prusas at one time Overall, the students seemed to like and enjoy them. Given the components and such, I felt they were a little overpriced. But they also support what they sell and actively push out improvements and upgrades. That's important. The D...

Re: What's everyone working on

I'm battling it out with perfecting my z offset with these PEI surfaces. On glass and polypropylene, my prints stick just find and come off with ease. I'm finding that with PEI surfaces, that tends to be too close and very hard to remove. As a result, trying to get that nozzle up just a tad, to ensu...

Eryone Thinker SE

I was approached by a 3D printing friend to chat with his friend, a Rep from Eryone. They were looking for YouTubers who might be interested in reviewing their new product. I had a short chat with the gent and he offered a $90 discount on this $429 3D printer. I said I would be interested but also w...
