Re: Hole gaps

Depends on he geometry sometimes I'm up to 50% to ensure overlap.

Re: Hole gaps

Somewhere there is a %overlap so the infill goes further into the outline to help prevent this

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

At least your family is safe. It is impossible to stop this type of terrorising but they will not win, they are not Muslim or any faith, they are misguided. As long as we keep together and carry on they will lose. In London the other week a Muslim restaurant opened and provided free food and refresh...

PrintaFix is good, I use it when hairspray just won't hold!
It also works well on the printed too

Re: Can a 3D Printer Duplicate itself

The true answer is NO.
Unless it can produce all the parts, mechanical, electrical and electronic, it cannot duplicate itself.
Self replicating would require it to not only produce the parts, assembly itself, load its software and calibrate itself, ready to make another copy of itself again...

Re: Duplicator i3 Plus

Hi Paul, Yes, Sue is working on her 2nd video now, then she will do a short one that looks at the few mods we have done/planed to make it more efficient. The feeder back plate mod is working well. I'm actually quite impressed with the Wanhao, the only things I would like to improve hardware wise are...

Duplicator i3 Plus

Sue has been testing several different Filaments on her printer recently, PLAs in the main but also testing Fillamentum's ASA and Nylon, including their Nylon CF15 which produced an excellent print :-D , but we tried some flexible filament at the weekend with no luck as the filament exited through s...

Re: Tweak this?

Looking at the part in the photo, it looks like you are using 6 wall thickness and 100% fill,
At a guess from what I have been reading I would try 3 wall thickness and 30% infill.

Re: Simplify3d basic guide

Has anybody got a good 0.2mm layer height profile?
I'm not happy with the flatness of my vertical walls.

Re: Interesting Ultimaker Steel Frame Build

I'm not sure about the welded steel frame, I think I would have gone for aluminium alloy star linear sections and brackets to allow for accurate positioning and squaring of elements, a 30x30 or 40x40 section would be a good section and would allow for easy insertion of side panels etc.

Re: UM2 Material Settings for UM Flex-PLA and InnoFlex 45?

There are some nice flexible or semi flexible materials about and I agree with Meduza on the PolyFlex, I have not had a chance to test the TPU95A or the Ninjateck, but varying the wall thickness and the percentage infill can greatly change the flexibility of the part. Most flexible materials I print...

Re: New section!

Sue has been practicing with the Wanhao using PLA, and actually getting some good results although the fan could be better. She has received some samples of filaments to test alongside my UM2, so Sue is now trying them out starting with Filamentum PLA extrafill before trying some ASA, she also has a...

Re: First layer infill

Hi Neotko, I'm about to do a service to my UM2, belts pullies and possibly sliders and rods.
Where is the best place to get good quality pullies from etc?
Cheers.
