Re: Cura Feature request: Infill Height
I think 100% infill is still a frontend hack where it changes top or bottom layers to 9999 and skips normal infill.

Re: Z-axix linear bearings
As long as you have good bed adhesion you can also turn the printer upside down, that should also fix the issue

Re: Z-axix linear bearings
The single trapezoidal nut isn't really a good solution to move the platform. The nut gives way and you only use gravity to drive the platform downwards. A better solution would be a pre-tensioned nut (or a ball screw like Zortrax uses).

Re: Z-axix linear bearings
Ultimaker has as far as I know switched to using Misumi bearings on newer machines, you could probably get bearings from your local Ultimaker reseller.

Re: Why the UMO has fans on electronics?
I'd love to find a way to get rid of the noise (and the fan) once and for all. Any recommendations? There are two obvious alternatives, change the electronics board to some fan-less design or change the fan. Changing the fan seems to be the more economic alternative. I would try a Sunon blower fan ...

Re: And it's election day....
What undoubtedly wrecked the US (and world) economy was the financial crisis which erupted before Obama was elected. It would be very hard to argue the financial crisis was caused by too much regulations on the financial sector. (To be fair there were some political policies which led to the subprim...

Re: The Flex3Drive
I think the Flex3Drive is an interesting idea.. However, the UM-kit I tried was removed from the printer after a day of testing, this was probably two years ago though.
Re: 2.3 beta
@nallath: I think it's an issue with the lack of transparency in OpenGL. Related to the ghosts.

Re: Cura Type A
I must say 3D infill sound like a really quick hack to do in the CuraEngine. It could be nice to have but I don't think it's the most important feature to implement.
Looking at the layerview the implementation of this by Type A machines seems to be a mess.

Re: Cura 2.1 open beta
Has anyone here moved to using Cura 2.x.x as their standard slicer or is everyone still using 15.04.x?

Re: Cura 2.1 open beta
What I think would be good feature is to be able to save your layout of objects as a project, including slicing settings. Perhaps that is already in the pipeline.
