Re: Dual pro head from Zmorph

There is a new mod for the UM2 out there that gives you 2 nozzles in what looks like an UM3 printhead on the surface. It looks neat and some have reported success with it. https://community.ultimaker.com/topic/24553-dxu-efficient-dual-extrusion-upgrade-for-um2/ But the only way to get your hands on ...

I can imagine that it takes quite a bit of effort just to keep him in good shape and attend all the events/charities.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Probably not. But could possibly be remixed. Although you would lose the natural R2D2-like head shape.
Someone also asked for a R2D2-like mesh-head that could be put on top of the google home so it would look even more like the real one.

Re: Polymaker Polymax

I haven't used anymore of it than the two spools I bought and printed with above. So I can't say that it is better or worse than any other PLA...but I do imagine that it is a bit "flexier" than regular PLA. Good news is that the two Pokemon figures I posted earlier are still intact after 1...

Re: Duet3D board

I would say the opposite...there is a wealth of information on the Duet3D site...and they have a web-configurator that makes it easy to create a base config that will get you started. That said, the Duet3D is a "swiss army knife" in comparison to the 8-bit boards running Marlin et.al. that...

Re: Duet3D board

If anyone is thinking of upgrading to a Duet3D board, they are clearing out old stock of DuetWifi v1.03 right now and the price is lowered with £18. Reason is there is a new v1.04 out that has fuses and some diodes to improve EMI and protect inputs, mainly to make it easier for manufacturers to comp...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Exactly, as I said...the top layer...the layer, at any point in XY, that has nothing above it ;)
My issues were not with the top layer...it was the sides...where you could clearly see the infill.

You may think that the piece in the photo was printed like in the photo...but it was not.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

This is the 3.4.1 Mac version, using the default UMO profile. And ironing won't help here since that only affects the top layer.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Starting to get back into printing again...had to reprint the vital parts of my #gudoZGE since the one I printed in Greentec started to be “sloppy”. It did last me a year though. The temp resistance of Greentec may be really good...but the mechanical resistance does not look so good over time. For n...

Re: Print a brick

Afaik Mantisrobot uses brick from https://www.thingiverse.com/projunk/designs and not printabrick.org. But he also says that he tweaked them, but probably mostly because he prints them LARGE :P Judging form the check Lez0 did you may need to slightly adjust the scale of the brick from printabrick, a...

Gudo - The humble man with great ideas

I do not know if you have heard it yet, but tonight I was brought to the attention by one of gudo 's sons on FB that he has passed away  gudo was, to me, a man with great visions and ideas for improving our 3D-printing adventures. He created some awesome mods for our Ultimaker's and East 3D Gec...
