Re: Material for a peg

Thanks Paul.
I think this may be a bit soft for my requirements at 95A but I'll investigate it a bit more.

Buying resins in Spain

Hi all I recently bought a 3D resin printer which came with a few bottles of resin. I need to buy more, I can get them off Amazon and Aliexpress. These sell basic resins for everyday use, I am looking for someone who sells a bigger range, that will delivery to Spain (and not be expensive). If anybod...

Material for a peg

Hi all
I need to 3D print a peg, it will act like pliers, see image. It needs to flex so the tips can close.
What material that is easily obtainable should I use, I don't think PLA will be good enough as it needs to flex without cracking.
With an opening of 5mm.
With an opening of 5mm.
Thanks all

Re: New resin printer

My concern all along has been the fumes and the fact people are just dumping hazardous waste down the drain once they finishing processing their prints I've seen some newer resins that are water washable....no need for alcohol. I'd like to try one to make things like part cooling fan ducts....small...

Re: New resin printer

The reason the printer was for sale was because of the smell, the person lived in a flat. I have mine in a garage, it's a bit cold but the printer still works. The smell is very noticeable, I also don't know what it would do to your health if you were breathing it in all the time. Most people I have...

New resin printer

Hi all I had the chance to buy a second hand Anycubic Photon 3D resin printer cheap. It's a completely different ball game to FDM printing. I'm enjoying the learning curve, and I am starting to get some good prints, some large ones, 100x80x40mm, OK by FDM standards that's small. The quality of the p...

Re: Which printer to get?

One thing I have found through reading various post is that it is the luck of the draw. You may get a printer that works no problem and someone else gets the exact same printer and has loads of problems. Look for a printer that is well supported. Mine is a JGaurora A5s and apart from a cable coming ...

Magnetic bed surface

Hi all
I have been using a vinyl bed surface and it works really well.
The trouble is it's hard to remove when I want to replace it, it takes ages.
I hear there are magnetic surfaces, has anyone used one, and if so does it work OK.
Thank all

Re: PLA sticking TOO much to bed.

I think I may have solved the problem of parts sticking to the bed too much, somehow.

Over 12 hours into this print and the print went for a walk. It must have happened when I left the house..
I think I was pushing it a bit too much.

Re: PLA sticking TOO much to bed.

Thanks for the advice. I'll try lowering the temp and raising the nozzle a bit more.
I'll let you know after the next print.

PLA sticking TOO much to bed.

Hi All Yes PLA is stick far too much to my vinyl bed. I have to use a knife and a lot of force to get them off. I have reduce temp from 60 to 50. when levelling the bed I have the paper "feeler" a bit loose. But still it takes a lot to get the print off. I like all of you have had problems with prin...

Re: What is everyone doing

Sold my FT5 to a friend, his first printer. I gave him all the advice I could, but he still bought it ;-) . He is printing a Storm-trooper helmet with it, it's almost done, he's done a good job of it. Work is crazy at the moment but I still look at the new posts here. When I have more time, after re...
