Re: Creality 10s pro

Hi I don't know if it helps but I have a Folger FT5 and I connected it with my windows 7 PC OK. When I moved the printer I tried to use my laptop that has windows 10, it wouldn't connect. I could get Linux to see the printer. It may be a Windows 10 problem, I never investigated it. I now use Octopri...

Re: Large Lego man

Hi GrueMaster & LePaul thanks. I am pleased how it worked out. I made the models so I didn't have to use supports, the only part that had supports was the Hips. I printed at 40mm/sec at 0.1mm steps. The Folger FT5 doesn't have nozzle cooling, I had the bed at 60°C for the first layer then dropped it...

Large Lego man

I was hoping to get this printed in time for Christmas, but the printer went down and I have only recently got it running again. This is twice the size as a Lego man. I am pleased how it's turned out. It's for my 4 year old grandson Max. I had to have 2 goes at it as I made the model with clearance ...

Re: FT-5 Wiring tips

On the subject of wiring, I had a problem with the motor for the hotend. It turned out the cable had a slight break in it so it would work OK for some of the time. After I realised the problem I ordered a new cable, I could only get it from China as it's 1.5 metres long. After installing the new cab...

Re: Printer missing parts

I sometime get the LCD displaying garbage. I just simple press the button to select something and it all comes back.
It's good to know other people are "having fun" as well ;-)

Re: Printer missing parts

I was doing another print with different settings and it helped a bit, until the print stopped 75% finished with an Thermal runway error.
Printer is in bits awaiting a new cable. Problem was the cable to the extruder, well I hope that was the problem.

Re: Folger FT5 feed problem

Hi I stripped down the wiring from the Hotend. This involves taking the printer out of the housing, not an any task. I checked the wiring on the motor and it seemed Ok. After taking it out of the flexible ducting checking it again it was OK. I wrapped insulation tape around the outside to help prote...

Re: Folger FT5 feed problem

Hi Paul Yes I am up against it, very frustrated. It's my turn to have all the problems. I have the stock extruder/hot end and I have the spool up high in the middle. I have had problems with the spool unwinding, but I think I have that cured now, with a bit of string!!! This unfortunately isn't the ...

Folger FT5 feed problem

Hi guys. This is a new one and I have no idea what is causing it. I have been having problem for about a week now with the printer, with different problems. MINTEMP error please reset, Thermal runway error, and prints with gaps in them. Well I have replaced the wiring to the Hotend with a 6 core cab...

Re: Printer missing parts

Thanks for the reply. 0.9 Wall section, infill 20% I have printed many parts with the same setting no problem. I can't understand why it would only be in the front of the casing and not the back, the case is semitrical. I reduced the print speed to 45 mm/sec for 75 and it made no difference. I am go...

Printer missing parts

Hi all I have a strange problem. I have a largish print, 210mmx290mmx60mm and it has some bad areas. This hasn't happened with any other prints. I thought it may have been a simple glitch, so I reprinted it only to get the same problem. Material Sunlu PLA plus, bed 60°C Hotend 200° to start with, I ...

Re: Mosfet Upgade

Thanks for the rely. I looked at the link and also watched the video. It appears I did wire the Mosfet up correctly! So it must be faulty. Paul, on a side note, it only takes a few minutes to get my bed to 60°C whereas in the video it was taking around 15 min for a stock Folger FT5. I may have a lat...

Mosfet Upgade

Hi all If this is the wrong section, please let me know. I bought a Mosfet I have wired it up, I think correctly as it seems very simple, I set the temp of the bed to say 60°C and nothing happens, it does not get hot. I am not an electrician so I am limited to what I can do. I have checked the volta...

I am surprised "Properly built, inspected, tested & a one year warranty" didn't get any votes. This get my vote.
