Re: UM2 service parts / upgrade.

Cheers Neotko, You don't happen to have the various specs and sizes handy for the various components? I'm not really worried about price, more quality. Also is Paul correct about a better spec flatter glass? Cheers, Izzy As I'm running with a matchless hot end at 35W, with my fan ducts, a bondtech f...

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots

Agree with you both there guys, some materials with additives need 0.5mm nozzles, I can't really imagine successfully printing with a 0.25, or even a 0.3mm the likely hood of a collision of partials causing a blockage is greatly increased with the reduced CSA, (perhaps some information on the size a...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

We found a great way to give away some of our Ultimaker robot test pieces.
We had a scout about for some of our local geocaches and left one in each of the ones we found, 3 out of the 5 we set our walk about, :-D

Re: Another neat OctoPi video find

I tried so GoPro a few years ago I wanted to try them to record some sailing, I tested them at home and they would take over 1 hour to charge for 30 minutes of recording and the batteries got far to hot for my liking, almost too hot to touch, so I sent them back.

Re: Wanhao Duplicator

Looks interesting, in the uk it's available for £499 inc Vat. I'll be watching YouTube for more info on it and the slicer side as well. But I must admit I'm quite impressed with the output of the WDi3+ that Sue is using, although we have added the z bracing, the cooling fan and duct can do with impr...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day

Anders Olsson what make of Woodfill are you using? I did struggle with Kai Pathy's wood fill although he did recommend a miniumum of 0.5mm nozzle, the modified Robert's feeder would grind the filament or deformed it as it was softer. although when I upgraded to the bondtech feeder it had enough pre...

Re: Has anyone used nGen_FLEX yet?

I was trying to find where I noted the settings I used, I haveas my preferred settings, Nozzle temperature 245'C, bed temperature 60'C, print speed 45mm/s, I did use fans at 40%, normal retractions, and I used normal glue for bed adhesion, I only had a very small sample and only started to get good ...

Re: I couldn't resist and bought one...

I must admit I'm quite impressed with the print quality from Sues Wanhao Duplicator i3Plus. She has added the z bracing and done the Swiss micro hotend upgrade, I've ordered a blower fan and will redesign the current cooling ductvto suit the blower and improve the part cooling. For a £400 printer it...
