Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots
Wow, I did not realize you printed that much, maybe one should inspect the nozzle again then. :-) Korneel, among other people, have tested another similar nozzle but with a 0.5 mm hole in the jewel. Those nozzles had a jewel from another manufacturer and that jewel did not have the same finish as th...

Re: Feedback...how's it look?
There is/was something strange when attaching .png pictures. I managed to attach the Ultimaker-statistics (png) without a problem to that post. But when I tried to do the same thing with the PVA-pictures in that thread I never got the green dot which shows the picture is successfully uploaded (I cou...

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots
Okay, I will see if I can make one for you, still have parts for a few more. Neotko has unsuccessfully tried to destroy this kind of nozzle with carbon filled filament, not a single scratch on it after printing a kilo :) Interestingly, I get reports that the hardened E3D-nozzle, which E3D claim will...

Re: Reasons for starting a new Ultimaker forum
So, on one hand I also have this feeling that it would be better if Ultimaker could do something about their forum. Considering that nothing really happened so far and that they still seem not to understand the issue, I think that it is unlikely that we will see the major change that would be needed...

Re: Reasons for starting a new Ultimaker forum
It already looks, and works, way better than the official Ultimaker forum though I would sayLePaul wrote:I am still working on all the settings so please be patient if you see problems! It has been a few years since I set up a web forum.

Temperature analysis of PVA and Bridge Nylon
I will continue testing this new forum with some hardcore polymer stuff :) (The nerd level of this post is probably a bit too high for the average user, even I realize that) A polymer chemist at out lab ran some tests on "Torwell" PVA and on Taulman Bridge Nylon. This technique is totally ...

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots
I don't mind of you write a bit
You have probably put much more effort on comparing and optimizing printing quality with these nozzles than I have.

Reasons for starting a new Ultimaker forum
So, here are the numbers I have managed to collect so far, clearly showing what impact the new Ultimaker forum software had on the community:

Super hard nozzles - Test pilots
So, what better way to test this new forum than presenting this thing: 2016-01-18-6644.jpg I have been struggling with various design issues past months, but things have more or less been sorted out now.. (the final version will look a bit different though) This is basically a call for anyone who is...
