Re: Missing spot
Seems to me to be a combination of back lash and slight underextrusion. Check the overlap settings of your slicer. Cura?

Re: Pros and Cons of 1.75mm vs 3.0mm filament
I think such effects of the 1.75mm filament going easier through the machine than 2.85mm are mostly due to the fact that many parts are made in fully metric sizes. So 2mm-1.75mm=0.25mm is just a bit more than 3.00mm-2.85mm=0.15mm which helps a lot...

The Ultimaker people themselves guide the filament in a very similar way at trade shows: They just leave the yellow part away...

Re: Cleaning nozzles after removing?
For some filaments the cold pulls do not work properly (actually for everything except PLA). So I leave it in the nozzle. But I rarely use the unload procedure from the printer as then I get a strain (not true for Woodfill). Heating up the cold retracted material to 85-100°C and pulling it out leave...

I guess it's anyway the way the most people get into the forum: by Google search.

Re: Teaser for the New Ultimaker....here we go!
Well guys, I can share that Ultimaker invited me to the big reveal in New York City I'm at the airport awaiting my flight (which will go to Washington DC and then to New York City). I'm looking forward to seeing the new printer, meeting GR5, Sander and others from the Ultimaker team Luckily I don't...

Not everybody there works for Ultimaker... But I agree, it's a bit misleading... I also had to check twice.

That's inofficial. Don't expect anything new there. It's just speculation. Real news are coming on Tuesday. From Ultimaker.
