If you look in the feedback you will see that we discussed this before. But that was perhaps on a computer...where it is just slightly better.
This is actually the only thing I dislike about this forum software.

Re: Printing life size objects/parts
If you want to print large things without joining pieces together, and you have space, there is always the Hangprinter

Re: Please rank these printers
And that video was probably made before they (and @gudo) made a lot of improvements to the printer.

Re: Please rank these printers
Yes, that’s the one. Sorry for not linking directly. Haven’t seen that video. But you should check the manufacturers FB group. They seem highly responsive and helpful. It’s quite a beast to assemble...and easy to run into trouble since it is an alu-extrusion type. But if you do everything by the boo...

Re: Please rank these printers
And for almost 1 more week they are running a promotion so the heated bed version with ceramic glass is approx. $640 (free shipping at least to Sweden). Given what you get, and that @gudo has tinkered with it, that's a really good deal imo.

Re: Please rank these printers
If you are into assembling yourself you could also look at the East 3D Gecko. It seems to produce good results at nice speeds. Early models required some tinkering but I think they have addresses most of those issues. And the developers seems very responsive on FB and has offered some free upgrades ...

Re: Looking for small 3D-printers
I know a small printer, at least ready-to-go, is a big compromise as they tend to be cheap. Making a UM2Go clone has crossed my mind...but with better electronics etc. However, making the frame is a hurdle since I lack precision tools to make a good one. So it's either buying a China frame...or maki...

Looking for small 3D-printers
I'm looking for a small (compact) 3d-printer with good quality to use in-house or to bring with me easily. Think Ultimaker 2 Go as maximum size...and with similar print quality...or better. Preferably DIY, but i'm open to suggestions :) I know about the Dice , but it is a) Rather expensive to build,...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Holy moly, what happened to the UM forum? That is just pure eye cancer now o.O Well, if I have to choose between a non-functional forum and just "eye cancer" I prefer the latter :-P Although you can argue about the look and feel, to which I agree with you,...it _actually_ works as a forum...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Hi Guys, slowly managing to get back to the forum after a year I would rather do without, can anybody help recall, somebody was on about smoothing out the stepper motors, I think it was a little pcb that was placed inline, i’m not sure but I have a vague memory it may have been Gudo but have not be...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Haven't got much time to devote to 3D-printing lately...but i'm still trying to finalize an RC Tractor, a small RC bulldozer for Jr and a remixed Headphone stand...will see if I manage to wrap it up before Christmas :) Also got a batch of Swedish made HT-PLA that i'm planning on turning into Danish-...

Re: Just ordered a Tornado....
On the other hand, Tom posted happily, not long ago, about getting a free printer from, I think it was, that other company. So why is one company "good" and another "bad"? I take all of this with a grain of salt...but then again...I would probably not buy a printer from either of...
