I'm using PEI on heated aluminum bed.
IT IS AWESOME!
You can get a sheet of it from either Amazon or the prusa website and you can fix it to the bed with a 3m double sided tape sheet.

Re: STP to STL issue
I added a slot for the PINDA probe.
I could do a perfect rendering with FreeCad, yet I'm unable to understand what was the exact issue with Alibre.
Do you use Alibre too?

Re: STP to STL issue
Hum,
I found out this seems to be an issue with Alibre itself in the conversion from STP to STL, but I can't find where I can change the rendering options for exporting...

STP to STL issue
I'm having an issue from STP to STL after I performed a modification of the STP file of: https://www.youmagine.com/designs/ulitimaker-orig-modular-printhead-merlin-ubis Just to be clear, when I open the original STL in Cura it looks like this (look at the transition curves): correctstl.jpg The issue...

UMO/UMO+/Prusa firmware merge
Hi everyone, I started working on a firmware merge between the Prusa I3 Mk2 firmware and the firmware published by Amedee. It's quite the task as these two branches took separate paths and the electronics being used on the prusa is veeeery different from the one on the UMO. Edit1: here's the github ...

Re: Several years worth of UMO hacks
Hi PeggyB! Thanks for your interest. I think the starting point would be to print/buy the parts you require to make your modifications. If you have something in mind for your Ultimaker I'd be glad to help out. Just send me a PM and maybe we can arrange a Skype meeting :) More Updates! My P.I.N.D.A. ...

Re: UMO / UMO+ Firmware
Not really, this is mostly for custom Z offset while I'm working on a similar routine as the "bed leveling" done in Cura 15...and also I can't do the Z homing at the bottom. I find it highly inconvenient. This is my work in progress in ultralcd.cpp (has to be read from the bottom up): stat...

Re: UMO / UMO+ Firmware
Going back to bed leveling, so this is the piece of code that has to be adjusted and added there I suppose.... #include <avr/pgmspace.h> #include "Configuration.h" #ifdef ENABLE_ULTILCD2 #include "Marlin.h" #include "cardreader.h"//This code uses the card.longFilename a...

Re: UMO / UMO+ Firmware
Currently trying to implement a bed leveling routine.
So far it failed, not sure if it's the M0 fault or something else.
Your thoughts?

Re: Several years worth of UMO hacks
I'm not convinced by these. They seem to need 24V direct power plus a protection board O_o

Re: UMO / UMO+ Firmware
Hey Amedee, Quick question for you here: In configuration.h I defined the following: #define REPRAP_DISCOUNT_FULL_GRAPHIC_SMART_CONTROLLER However when compiling with Arduino IDE 1.06 it fails as I get the error: 'u8g_fntpgm_uint8_t' does not name a type This refers to line: const u8g_fntpgm_uint8_t...

Re: Why the UMO has fans on electronics?
I'd love to find a way to get rid of the noise (and the fan) once and for all.
Any recommendations?
