Re: Updating HIC 3DP-03 to Marlin 1.1.X

Marlin 1.1.5 with the Configuration.h you posted went off almost without a hitch. As it turns out (for future reference if anyone else with a Hictop is reading this) I did need to invert the endstop logic: This is really strange went back through all my Configuration.h files I do not have a configu...

Re: Need a bit of help deciding on upgrade or new

Yes your numbers are looking the same as the numbers on my 3D Printer and you have exactly the same stepper motors.

Ok we need to determine why you are getting layer shifting,

Re: Need a bit of help deciding on upgrade or new

Take a Photo of the E- Stepper from the right side and a photo of one of the Z Steppers from the bottom and Post. You should have plenty of torque as not to easily stop the stepper in motion or turn the stepper while holding torque. Do not get me wrong you can stop it and turn it though is should no...

Re: Shifted Layers

Now I have a question. In the image below Re-Adjusted.jpg I noticed that at every Junction where there are changes to the interior structure there is a line in the skin surface. Now this is not a ridge just a different shade line. I tell you what speckled table top sure doe not do the photo any just...

Re: Need a bit of help deciding on upgrade or new

I would measure the Stepper motor current. Now I have given you a video too watch. Before you adjust the V-Ref voltage measure them write them down on a piece of paper and post them too me. Here is a You-tube Video Now before you adjust I have different settings for V-Ref. If you have www.goldenmoto...

Re: Need a bit of help deciding on upgrade or new

I have a shareable link for you. This the the Bug fixed version of Marlin 1.1.9. Marlin-1.1.9BF_Busby.zip I took the liberty of changing theses lines, you should change them to what you want. #define STRING_CONFIG_H_AUTHOR "(Busby)" // Who made the changes. #define CUSTOM_MACHINE_NAME &quo...

Re: Need a bit of help deciding on upgrade or new

That would mean then that you have a T8-8 - 4 start 8mm lead-screw or // Z Axis 3200, / 8m pitch leadscrew = 200*16 /8 = 400 :: (STEPS_PER_REVOLUTION_Z / PITCH_OF_Z_ROD) // #define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT { 80, 80, 400, 94.4962144 } I will definitely do the power cord and switch upgrade too than...

Re: Need a bit of help deciding on upgrade or new

Is it possible to load your marlin firmware with the SN04 sensor not being plugged in yet and still use the printer so I can print out the upgrade parts like the case and y-axis stop mount etc ? Yes. if you install the original mechanical end-stop switch. If it is possible where can I download it f...

Re: Shifted Layers

It was a more precision part the walls were just too thin. If you remember my last 3D Printed X-Axis Z-lead-screw braces, I could only put 2 of the 4 screws with out binging the lead-screw. Right.jpg Left.jpg And they were on opposite sides form each other. Hopefully these next X-Axis Z-Lead-screw b...

Re: Marlin 2.0.x on My Hictop 3DP11

OK I'am thinking sense I do not use any of the 32bit routines is the reason that it could compile Marlin 2.0.x. Forgot about Beta being in a different location. Uploaded Arduino 1.9.0 Beta compiled the same a Arduino 1.8.8. I will Compile with the correct Arduino and re-flash want to look at all the...

Re: Shifted Layers

Found the molded Right Z-Axis lead-screw mount is split down the linear bearing tube. This may be what is causing the Y-Axis layer Shifting. This would be the smaller of the two Z-Axis lead-screw mounts. Was told that the molded parts were better guess not. Temporally Epoxied to do some testing will...

Marlin 2.0.x on My Hictop 3DP11

Just Installed Marlin 2.0.x on a test controller appears to function correctly. Leaving 47% program space available 44% global variable space or 3529 extra bytes. They added M412 which allow to you to enable /disable the Filament Run-out Sensors. To build Marlin 2.0 you'll need Arduino IDE 1.9 howev...
