Re: PTFE coupler - Theory and practical details

295?!!! Jaw's dropped pn a floor. Yes, I have been printing up to 300 C with the I2K washer and it works fine. You probably don't want to go higher than that because the heater and the temperature sensor might not like it. Another thing to keep in mind is that some plastics can generate toxic fumes...

Re: Titanium

Little update.
DHL asks for a totally cosmic level price for shipping  . The next couple of days find out the prices of EMS and FedEx, and will write here results.

Re: Feedback...how's it look?

On reflection, I came to the following conclusion: the bookmarking is a reminder to myself, and so should be meaningful action. In any case, if possible in the forum settings to give a choice between automatic subscription to topics commented on, and manual mode, then perhaps it would be correct to ...

Re: Feedback...how's it look?

Got it! When you leave a comment, thread does not appear in the subscription automatically. it needs to be added manually. This can be automated? Also it would be nice to make a weekly digest, just in case I missed something. And Yes! Tapatalk! It can be activated in the settings of the Board? In ne...

Re: Making PCBs with the Ultimaker 2?

Nostalgia post. We used a laser printer and self-adhesive film oracal type. Works much better than paper of any kind.

Re: Hand cranked Heart gears

Мersion with white plastic shows uncalibrated beds. I had a similar experience with bronze nozzle, which was used for 5 months without stopping, and was in the last stage. Nozzle replacement and recalibration should help. Plus the fact that despite the new revisions plastic from Colorfabb with reduc...

Oh my... Filaments from beer, hemp and biomass

Today skinny-kid from UM forum send me link to this. Specs look like a ordinary PLA filament (same temperature of heater and bed), but with extraordinary addition. Color of printed beer cup looks pretty well, like a some polished wood, imo. http://www.3domusa.com/shop/buzzed-beer-filament/ buzzed-be...

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots

Anders, what method do you use for the diagnostics of the channel of the nozzle? X-ray, microscope, or some other method of inspection? I agreed on Monday with the Department of metallurgy at the local University, they promise to help with the analysis. Given the fact that not all the nozzles came o...

Re: Titanium

2 neotko By the way, Yes, I like the idea of electroplating with tungsten, considering its thermal conductivity in the area of 0,31 at 20 degrees Celsius. In the city there is a shop, they work with chromium, nickel and cadmium ,but I'm not sure about the tungsten . On Monday I'll know for sure. 2 L...

Titanium

Hi all, and thanks to Anders for the invite to the new forum. I also try to create new versions of nozzles with high resistance to impact. In my case, they are made of titanium alloy. If not all available volunteers, who printing with exotic filaments, are already busy by testing the new ruby nozzle...
