First attempt with Mexxibit PVA
Guys, now abut one year after delivery I found a few minutes to play around with the settings and start some tests with Colorfabb PLA/PHA and Mexxibit PVA. What shall I say... works :-) Here very short my findings: The "Support Interface" feature of Cura is very usefull and result in a cle...

Re: Initial power on all steppers move one direction for a second then reverse for a second
Had something similar when changing my UMO steppers to SSS, but only on one axis. it was a missing pullup at the arduino input pin which lead to this behavior... don´t know if it could be something similar...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
I hope that I will get my intended christmas present from my wife - an old vilyl LP from Eric Clapton, but the AC/DC ones are also in place for a little "silent night" tomorrow :-) Next week I hope I find time to evaluate a new amp and speakers for my new sound system, so similar idea as y...

Re: UMO/UMO+/Prusa firmware merge
Short one: which Marlin version have you used from Prusa side?
Has it something to do with the official Marlin which is currently in RC8?

My lathe is called Nanoturn:: http://www.bernardo.at/shop/en/metal/metal-working/turning-lathes/nanoturn.html But identically looking machines are sold under numerous brands If you want to make nozzle-like stuff you need at least this tool: http://gg-tools.com/epages/4a53cb12-c349-4e1e-aa61-062b175...

Re: Ultimaker Brand PLA
very nice print Anders... I can confirm your statement - have a roll if white UM PLA and always troubles with the setings - sometimes is 210 too cold, sometimes the flow amount too less... I always need to do adjustments with this material. Bu I have to mention that it is app. 2 years old (but propp...

I wouold also love to get rid of it but I think the critical point are the stepper drivers... If you have the possibility, you could try to ckeck the temps during a longer print.

Re: What materials will PVA support work with?
I have a roll of PVA and a roll of PolySupport in my stock since a few month - brand new, never used... had not the need to do so.
Stupid question out of this: is it really something worth to try/use...? What´s your impression?
Coffee... good hint...

Re: What materials will PVA support work with?
I wonder why it doesn't work with the ColorFabb PLA/PHA, in that case it's likely not to work with other PLAs either. They are in the printrange of 180-210. So I wonder what the problem is heat or material bonding? The reason is - as far as I understood - that it is a mixture with PHA and therefore...
