Re: Anyone purchase the Advanced 3D printing kit?

Only thing I still am going to buy for my UM2 is the flexdrive if it ever makes it in to a regular product :)

Re: New video!

Apparently they have profiles for Simplify3D and Cura that you can download from the site if you don't want to use their slicer. So that should be a yes.

Re: Original Prusa i3 MK2 review

Models for multi-color usually consist of different objects that touch each other. In the slicer you are able to select the object and assign it to an extruder. I suspect that finding or making those models will be the biggest issue of all. For me personally the printer was most important, but the i...

Re: Original Prusa i3 MK2 review

Well since it is a pretty short set of tubes due to lateral movement alone, I don't think the impact of it will be as big as what it is for the UM. If it turns out to be an issue I'll just disable the kit when I want to use flexible filament. It doesn't look like its that much work. I suspect the ki...

Re: Original Prusa i3 MK2 review

As mentioned in the other topic with the i3 video, I just purchased the printer and the 4 color upgrade kit. We'll see when they arrive. If they're here and you guys have questions or want to see specific things being printed, let me know :) Only thing I'm a bit scared of is that they went from dire...

Re: New video!

I actually saw a couple of reviews about it yesterday and from the 4 color kit that will be released shortly (http://shop.prusa3d.com/en/3d-printers/118-original-prusa-i3-mk2-multi-material-upgrade.html) and I just placed an order this morning. Guess I'm over my Ultimaker fad. Will have to buy some ...

I for one will be waiting on that. Very curious! :)

Re: Storing your filament

It have a giant container (60x40x75 or something like that) that where I keep all my filament in (I have quite a few reels).
Besides the filament that container also has about half a kg of silica bags in there :)
So far my filament is still okay.

Started out that way yes :)
Left it alone for too long and then it started dumping the filament in the head instead of on the plate :)

And yes 110º is what I used to get most of the stuff off :)
Not perfect but it'll do.
