Sorry to hear this. I found that PrusaSlicer works so well that in my opinion it was well worth this simple conversion effort.
Still use Cura on many projects though in some special cases prefer using PrusaSlicer.
I came into this 3D Printing as a hobby to learn all I could.

This has to be difficult as TPU as I have heard is famous to stringing. Would you be in for a slicer change that I have thought was one of the best free slicer ever. I have flashed most versions of Marlin 1.x.x thru Marlin 2.0.9.2 had a minor problems using Marlin 2.0.9.3 so reverted to 2.0.9.2 on my Hictops.

I have been using 4 Bearing on all three of my Hictop Printers with no problems, wonder why you are having problems? Would like to see your upgraded Base plate, please post more information. I Have firmware changes for BL Touch though it has never been tested would like to see your firmware changes....

I have always used a simple pause at height using Cura works in all versions.
Have also used a pause at layer height in Prusa slicer it works just as well.
