The F-35 / JSF is a real fine mess. Lockheed presented an interesting design and thought they might be able to have commonality for Air Force, Marines and Navy. Well that fell apart fast. What works for the Marines is an obstacle for the other two services. So now they have less than 20% common part...

What about a sealed liquid cooler (such as what PC's use for CPU and Graphics cards?) in the print head? They already use a remote reservoir, are sealed (no adding coolant needed). The trick is the shape to heat sink for liquid to draw heat from Again, I'm not an engineer. Just thinking out loud sin...

That's interesting, Amedee... I have fiber plate (G10) I use for the electronics tray for R2, so all the electronics get mounted on that
