Re: Cura 3.0 beta
That and most companies don't care about support; they just print with PVA.

Re: Cura 3.0 beta
The next release is probably going to have setting visibility preferences. That will probably fix the issue; We can then add a "basic", "Advanced" & "Expert" list of settings to be visible.

Re: Cura 3.0 beta
In new Cura, i think you have way more customisation compared to s3d. People still seem to think that S3D has more settings, but that has long ago ceased to be the case. Right now Cura has ~15 settings regarding retraction alone.

Eeeh. I don't think there is an easy 1 on 1 connection. A number of things could be doable. Posting it on Github is always a good idea, as it's easier to keep of track of things there.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
What I heard from my colleagues is that it's hard to learn Dutch, as most Dutch people will switch to English at the moment they hear the slightest accent.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Dutch is similar enough to German that you can get most of the generic context / meaning of a conversation without actually knowing the language. Everyone gets 4 languages in the Netherlands (Dutch, English, German & french). But as it's a Tech event, most stuff was in English. The level of Engl...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
In Berlin. I'm now waiting on the airport for my flight back. It's an hour by plane, but by Dutch / European standards, that's a decent trip (I mean, the distance from amsterdam to berlin is already more than the length of the Netherlands...)

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
So, second day of the Qt world summit is done. One more day before I have to go back to the Netherlands again. Picked up quite a few things that we could improve for Cura.

Re: Ultimaker Software News, Cura 3, Cura Connect etc.
We have appimages for Linux. We switched away from .deb as it was a nightmare to maintain.
Thopiekar has a unbutu PPA, but it's not as stable as the appimage.

Re: Ultimaker Software News, Cura 3, Cura Connect etc.
I just want to know when Cura will allow the user to select where supports are placed. That's been needed for a long, long time. Many times I can't use Cura since it will place supports in bad locations. Cura can do this since eh 2.6? Maybe even before, not quite sure. Granted, the interface is not...
