Re: Orientation plugin
Nice one.
Re: 2.3 beta
Thanks martin, found it where you said. I'm using a custom machine config because I print with Octoprint. If you use the standard UM2 maybe it wont show up.
Re: 2.3 beta
It's probably me being dumb, but how do I change the nozzle size?

Re: Fiber Fix tape!
Totally amazing. I bought five full kits and added it to my prepper bunker, and covered the secret doorway with it to make it more bullet proof. Now I have a kit in my emergency box, my gun bag, my other gun bag, my bear shootin' bag, inside my 100 year supply of food bunker storage, and in my prepp...

Re: Preferred PLA filament in the UK
The 0.1mm nozzle will make you cry. I have Meduza's gearbox for the Robert's feeder, and it quite frankly has made a huge difference in power. I highly recommend trying that combination before shelling out for a Bondtech. Also, I changed the standard hobbed thingumajig to a Mark 8 one. 0.8mm nozzle ...

Re: Preferred PLA filament in the UK
Ouch, painful. For bigger prints you might want to consider using 0.8mm or 1mm nozzles. They will allow you to print wider walls in one pass of course, but layer heights of 0.4mm to 0.5mm. This cuts down on printing in a huge way. Once you get used to using bigger nozzles, you can still get sliding ...

Re: Jonny's CNC portal mill
Dunno. Not found one in the UK. Maybe there are. Not sure I want to go with Misumi for my first build anyway. Break my teeth on the garbage, and then upgrade

Re: Preferred PLA filament in the UK
I can understand you views Danilius, I occasionally get errors with good quality material I just had some intermittent underextrusion with ColorFabb black PLA on a 30hour print and about 40m lost, I thought it might have been feeder issues etc but I've just run another job with several parts with C...

Where do your order Misumi stuff from? I applied for an account from Misumi Europe and they turned me down.

Re: Preferred PLA filament in the UK
A problem that can occur with cheap filament is what is actually in it? If it has cheap materials or additives they can be affected by the temperature and burn within the nozzle causing deposits that then may block or partially block the nozzle the no extrude into you part. :-o You are quite right,...

Re: Identify a (non-metric?) thread
Print it in PLA, then dip the end into hot water and screw it on. Hey presto, thread. Will take a couple of goes until you get it right, probably.

Re: Jonny's CNC portal mill
I had an igus rep come round to my place and had a look at those rails. What appealed to me was the fact that that they can handle dust and so on without a problem. They won't get gunked up because they run dry. They can also be adjusted, but I found that if they were really tight, although they did...
