Re: How many 3D printers do you have?
I have seen various 3D prints that are for model trains and buildings, using either a resin printer of filament printer. The first thing you need to work out is, what size will your 3D prints need to be. You can break a model into various part and glue them together if the printer isn't big enough. ...

Re: Printing with TPU
Thanks Paul
TPU is a strange material. I'll be doing some more prints in this material when I get time. I'll let you know the results.
It would be better I think with a direct drive printer for TPU. I think that's what my next printer will be.

Re: 3D Printing on a Budget
I have been using an Anycubic Photon for over 2 years, it's done 100's of prints. It has a good community on Facebook if you have any problems. I have used various makes of resins but use Elegoo ABS like resin the most. There is a spreadsheet with loads of different makes of resins with there settin...

Re: Printing with TPU
I did another print enabling retraction. and retraction at layer change.
Retraction distance 2.0
Retraction speed 15.0
Combing Mode, All.
As you can see the prints are a lot better.
I don't think I can get rid of the stringing but there isn't a lot.

Re: Printing with TPU
2nd print.
Well I expected a little bit of stringing. I guess I'll have to do a bit of trial and error.

Thanks Paul.
Any other advice on printing this soft material?
I've just been using PLA for so long I'm out of touch.

Printing with TPU
Hi Everybody.
Has anyone used TPU filament, I was thinking of trying it.
I am worried about it being flexible and also how well the layer adhere.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Checking in...Forum 2022
I've been printing small screws and nuts on my resin printer.
Shall we say it's not easy on small threads to get it right first time. I'm still tweeking things to get a good fit.

Re: Ridges now in all of my prints
Did you clean the screw and re-oil. I would recommend a dry lube that doesn't pick up dirt, but you can use any oil or grease as long as it checked as grease can go hard over time. If the software hasn't changed it must be hardware. Did you check you screen to see if it working OK, not sure how you ...

Re: Ridges now in all of my prints
I've been thinking about this. Is the LCD screen working OK, have you checked it doesn't have line on it. I understand they can fail after a time. The other thing. are the lead screws the lift/lower, are they clean, grease can go hart after a time. Try cleaning them and give the a light oil with a d...

Hi.
If I have a problem I always check to see if the nozzle is blocked, try changing it to see.
