I just took the extruder fan off the stepper motor and tried to move the extruder motor via the LCD. Nothing happened.

I've seen the recommendations that say to replace the wire between the power supply and the control board with new 12AWG wire. I've got some spare 12AWG speaker wire; I'm assuming that in most cases wire is wire, so that should work, yeah?
