Re: PTFE coupler - Theory and practical details
.. that question (white ring) also came into my mind... After viewing some pictures and taking into account a sentence somebody wrote abount 300°C with core and a "silicon seal" I assume this white ring is something like a seperator between the nozzle and the front fan bottom cap/closure....

Re: UM2 print head project
... To confirm when more details will be accessible :?: (Btw : I'm located in the West of Paris, 30Km after the Versailles castle) :-) Right, to be confirmed hopefully soon... but that´s the direction I'm currently thinking... with a few parts printed/changed it might be possible... Greetings from ...

Re: Teaser for the New Ultimaker....here we go!
Thanks... As far as I remember, the Olson nozzle is similar to the UMO, isnt?Meduza wrote: From what i have seen, and if i remember right, the BB cartridge is a pretty similar profile to the Olsson Nozzles, and the AA cartridge is pretty similar to the original UM2 integrated nozzle.

Re: Teaser for the New Ultimaker....here we go!
Thanks!!
So this would be great to have a sectional view for comparison - especially to check if there are some nozzels already available to be used o a UM2 or UMO with a second head...
I guess over the time, details will be revealed and somebody will try to make aftermarket parts too

Re: UM2 print head project
:-) I hope that you'll get some credits... ;-) I´m currently thinking how to change the UMO head design completely... so also my PBI parts design might change... Gudo, do you think that the stainless steel/PTFE parts of the core could be made of PBI too? I have not ordered up to now but this might b...

Re: Teaser for the New Ultimaker....here we go!
Watch the beginning of this video closely, it becomes quite clear how the lifting works there I think: Ha... so it´s not a nozzle switch, it's just lowering the support nozzle? The AA stays in place, the BB is (I read somewhere 2mm) lowered so it'S lower than the AA, when switching back to AA it's ...

Re: PTFE coupler - Theory and practical details
Thanky for explaination... In short, to check if I got it correctly: - there is a thin tube of PTFE (Teflon) which sits in an alu housing with lot of cooling rips to make sure it will kept below ~200°C. - this is supported by a very thin stainless tube which acts as a heat break - small/thin area fo...
