Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
You can easily see if its a coupler issue by just extruding at a slow steady speed. If the coupler is fine the plastic should deposit on the buildplate in a cilinder shape (or at the very least keep making nice round figures). If that is not the case the coupler is most likely shot.

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
LePaul: Everywhere! :) No just kidding... The east coast this time. Started of in Washington DC, then trained to Baltimore. From there we took a cruise ship to the Bahama's for a week. That one port'ed in Cape Canaveral (Kennedy Space Center yay!), Freeport and Nassau. When we arrived back in Baltim...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Dutch candy, can't imagine that being very good :) Anyway, I'm not (yet) on vacation but have been pretty busy the last week(s). One more day at work tomorrow and then off for the rest of the month! Yay. Started assembling my Tooli (which finally arrived). So curious about the stuff I'll be able to ...

If you have a 3D printer, you are already an honorary member of the More Money Than Sense Club! Haha, that's pretty much what a colleague said start of the week when he asked what I used my printer for besides printing stupid things. Told him about some practical solutions in house like for the sho...

Thanks for the feedback. Love reading this. Not much in the market for something I'd have to do a lot of tinkering with, so for me it's off for now until their next iteration probably

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots
RIP. Grrr... Did something wrong in Simplify3D and it wrecked the nozzle by scraping it over one of the buildplate clips. It now has a 30° angled shoulder. Loved it while it worked. If they ever get to market, I'll definitely buy a set!

Re: A new approach to multi-colour prints
Pretty awesome. Would probably consider pre-ordering it I the UM2 was 1.75mm
Don't really feel like converting it as I have tons of 2.85mm filament.

Being a self-employed PHP developer I try to go to at least one conference a year in the spirit of keeping my skills honed (and have my business pay for a trip). This year some genius company decided to organise a PHP conference on a cruise to the Bahamas :) So yours truly decided to take a business...

Re: Thinking out-loud about dual hotend
I personally still think that a sort of a filament slicer & assembler and only 1 head is way simpler to implement than get the 2 head thing working nicely. It doesn't even have to melt the pieces of filament back together, the pressure of feeder on the piece behind it should be enough to drive i...
