Re: Lulzbot TAZ 6 Review
Both of those features mean nothing to me. I rarely level my bed (usually after playing around with levelling for some really specialised stuff) and glass and UHU stick have yet to fail me for PLA, ABS, Nylon and PETG. All in all, not a selling point for me, but might be for beginner or intermediate...

CraftWare slicer
Yay! First post in this section. How exciting. Anyone seen the CraftWare slicer? This really raised the bar. Slicing speed is insane. Visuals are drop-dead gorgeous, with some really amazing tools for checking how things will print. It does not have every tweak I would like to see, and I have yet to...

Converting to 1.75mm
Is it possible to convert a UM2 with an Olsson block to 1.75mm filament? Does it need a different block?

Re: Cura 2.1 open beta and Octoprint
I am banging my head against a wall. What did I do wrong with this. Cura does not recognise it: { "id": "ultimaker2_octoprint", "version": 1, "name": "Ultimaker 2 with Octoprint", "manufacturer": "Ultimaker", "author": &...

Re: Show off My latest Print
from day one and make it sound exciting :) I brought my wife to have a look at this thing on our first date: And she strangely accepted that one of my hobbies is cutting trees :) Oh come on, that thing looks downright evilly cool. How could she not go for that? You could borrow it for a barbecue an...

Re: A Tea between friends :-) How was Your Day
Well done Anders and your good lady. Apparently one of the best ways to reduce high blood pressure in women are very expensive hand made Belgian chocolates, which you can scoff during the night feeds when hopefully she will be asleep.

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots
This is a section of a part that has a major overhang. So the radiating ribs are supports I added myself. Once this section was printed the supports come off with a gentle nudge. Not sure if the ruby nozzle improved the result or not, but the material really is all-round impressive. Penknife include...

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots
Well, a beautiful gem arrived in the post yesterday, and so I'm printing some PETG with it. Here are a couple of in-print progress shots taken with my super-high-tech phonecam :-) The one interesting thing is that I had to bump the hot end temperature up from 255C to 270C to get it to print without ...

Re: Heated bed adhesion
I heat up the glass to around 50C and apply UHU stic, and sometimes I apply it cold when the glass is out of the machine because its easier to see where the glue has been applied, and have not really seen a difference. When the bed cools down, getting prints off is a bit tricky, so I use a blunt wat...

Re: ColorFabb HT
Download the firmware from the link above, connect your printer to your computer with a USB cable, then use Cura to upload the firmware to your printer. PID is a method to control the temperature in a more sophisticated way. It might affect very shallow prints; in my experience tall prints (i.e. mor...

PETG. Does not smell, will not block radio waves, easy to print and crazy strong compared to ABS or PLA.
