Re: All built, but now Cura 2.7 says printer is not connected
I removed 2.7 and installed the version from the Hictop CD, and that actually worked fairly well. I didn't get a chance to try 2.6.2 (my internet connection was painfully slow on the download) but will see if I can get it to work tonight or tomorrow. Clif, thanks for the profiles! I was also going t...

Re: So many issues...
I just took the extruder fan off the stepper motor and tried to move the extruder motor via the LCD. Nothing happened.

So many issues...
Printer - 3DP-11-ATL, stock firmware So far, I'm sure I'll have more, I'm having issues with the z-axis and the extruder. 1) Even with the nozzle temp at ~212 (PLA) the extruder just doesn't want to push anything through. Not sure if it's a jam or what. 2) The default z-axis is just below the bed, s...

Once I plugged in the USB, Windows installed the driver and I can see it listed in the Device Manager, but Cura i...

Re: First time owner, need advice
I've seen the recommendations that say to replace the wire between the power supply and the control board with new 12AWG wire. I've got some spare 12AWG speaker wire; I'm assuming that in most cases wire is wire, so that should work, yeah?

First time owner, need advice
Well I just entered into the world of 3D printing by purchasing a Hictop 3DP-11-ATL. I saw the posts on upgrades, but it was started over a year ago and some things in the kit have been upgraded on its own. Well, at least the power supply was upgraded to a 24V / 15A. Should that be sufficient for th...
