What's everyone been up to? Warm weather means everyone is outside again!

Re: My prints lean forward!

Ah good pro tip...see if we have some slippage

I'll be curious if the set screw is loose at all. How tight should the belt me? I can move it about a half inch so it isn't super tight

My prints lean forward!

Anyone else ever run into this?

Someone at UM said to check the Y motor pulley, the set screw could be loose

Thankfully it's easy enough to get to...unscrew motor and untangle from belt.

I just HOPE that's the fix.

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots

I need to clean off the tip, the carbon filament made the thing black!

I was very, very impressed at the layers (as you saw from my pictures above). I have a little bit of blotting on the top of my print where those bumps should be....not sure that was temp to high or not?

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots

Good news! Printed nice

Bad news, my print is leaning backwards a bit

I wonder if the heated bed platform cover rubbing on the back wall is to blame?

Re: Temperature control & fan speed

I'm printing now. No fan. Temp set to 256 and seeing it bounce around from 255 to 257. Nothing wider than that so far!

Re: Super hard nozzles - Test pilots

Well I had to adjust the bed height screws pretty high since my limit switch can't go higher. And wow this stuff can be messy. 256c seems to be the magic temp to stick to the build plate

Here we go!

Re: Temperature control & fan speed

I've only run 100% fan but tonight I plan to try out XT-CF20 with No Fan...I'll see if the temp bounces around

Re: nGen ?

Another thought....this morning was slow at work so I thought I would search for some nGen reviews and see what others thought. What's weird is some of the reviews, one from Adafruit, showed a lot of troubles with bridging and getting some really under extruded type results with white (i always have...

Re: Carbon Fiber battle! ColorFabb vs Proto-Pasta!

I wish he would have done some side by side strength tests and a bit more empirical research. I think that's the big thing most carbon fiber people are curious about...which is stronger

But, I was interested to hear the Proto Pasta prints at a much lower temp
