I really hate how they release new versions and hope this time around, they do like Apple (whom they love to emulate)...pretty much every year Apple has their annual gathering, they unveil the new versions. And as such, people wait for that time to decide to upgrade or not.

I know I got burned on my Ultimaker Kit. I'd inquired about an assembled version being available or if a new version was due out. I got the usual vague answers. AND...then the Ultimaker 2 came out 11 days after my purchase, which being a kit, non-refundable. And I know a few people who bought just prior to the 2+ being announced, then waiting months for upgrade kit. That's just crappy all around.

A gathering? As in serfs surrounding the castle with pitchforks and torches? :)

I just remembered it's been quite a while now since I was at HQ. I wonder how things are and when the new release is there :)
That being said, I wonder if I'll actually ever buy a new printer, rather than keeping this one to upgrade :P I mean, that's what we do right ^^ Play with stuff, make it better.

There's a saying "if it ain't broke don't fix it,"
But as tinkerers "if it ain't broke your not pushing it hard enough!"
