UM2 Material Settings for UM Flex-PLA and InnoFlex 45?

Post by reibuehl »

Does anybody here have good material settings for Ultimaker Flex PLA and InnoFlex 45? An MATERIAL.TXT section for the UM2 and some Cura 15.x settings would be great! :-)

I'd love to try out those engineering materials from Ultimaker and do a review on them.

It is just a little bit flexible, not as much as NinjaFlex. It was supposed to be printable with the stock UM2 feeder but maybe they had too much trouble with it and discontinued it. I like it though for rubber feet and other stuff that needs just a little bit of flex.
I print it currently with slightly higher temperature (220°C) and extremely slow print speed (10mm/s). That works but I wonder if somebody has better settings.
Here is a review video of it:

The Ultimaker Flexible PLA has been discontinued for quite a while now, even if i think we have one or two old spools still left in stock.

My current favorite flexible filament is the Ultimaker TPU95A and the Ninjatek Cheetah, followed by the Polymaker PolyFlex.

There are some nice flexible or semi flexible materials about and I agree with Meduza on the PolyFlex, I have not had a chance to test the TPU95A or the Ninjateck, but varying the wall thickness and the percentage infill can greatly change the flexibility of the part.
Most flexible materials I print at a maximum of 30mm/s and I always use a little light oil to lubricate it through the Bowden tube.
The Ninjaflex and Recrues are also nice Filaments with good settings.
