Note to Forum, I discovered in SolidWorks you CAN save your STL model with mm's used! Its under the Units tab of the Options. Just change it from Inches to mm's and I imported the STL into Cura and it was correct. No need to scale it 2450%. Hope this helps someone else. Cismonguy

Try this Prusa Slicer 2.0 - Custom Supports
I have used Cura 15.04.6 and Never had any complaints, using up to Cura 3.6.0.

I will continuously trying other Slicers finding Prusaslicer 2.3. 0 rc1 just released today an adding it to the list of slicers..
I know that Prusaslicer is being designed for Prusa Printers, my 3D Printer is a Prusa i3 Clone and runs with Ender 3 Configurations.
Though I keep tweaking to get the best possible prints and learning all of this slicer features that surpass all other I have used.

Setting Up a 3D Printer is a simple task similar to Cura, Simply by clicking on "Configuration > Configuration wizard".
You can select from a list of 3D Printer including Custom, an a long list of available filaments configurations.

The Screen shots are actually the best, it does take many screen shots sometimes.
This is one reason why I am starting to Use Prusaslicer If I attach a single 3mf project file an you load it all my settings are included.
There is no guess work no question everything you want to show me or I want to show you is included in the 3mf file.

Linked is a Cam_clip-3-in-1.3mf for you download install Prusaslicer 2.3.0 rc1 Open Project file.

The image will look like this with all the modifiers.

Though when Sliced it will look like a bag Clip

The Modifiers may seem hard to understand now but it make printing complex models extremely simple.

P s LePaul Could I get a Sub Thread added Named "Pruasslicer" Under "Slicers and Cad Software"

Here is model #4 printed at 30 degrees with supports. It is very good but for some reason one edge is ruined with incomplete bounding/melting of the filament. Any suggestions? 3 Hrs 31 Min print. I removed the half spheres to speed the print and they can easily be printed on the build surface.
new model compared to 2 earlier tries with STL horizontal and Vertical to the build surface. 30 deg. good.

That's an interesting result.

I'm trying to get back up to speed on Cura. With what seems like 10,000 sub settings compared to Simplify3d, it can feel a little daunting!

I thought you model was flat on the bottom but now I see it isn't.

I only spent a few minutes on this, much spent trying to find the settings in Cura for tweaking the interface layer in the supports.

Here's what I came up with, if I were going to try printing it.

I think he means mine.

I just used the Ultimaker included Ultimaker 2+ printer profile.

EDIT - In Marketplace, I use Sidebar so my settings at pinned to the side. And no longer hovers over my build plate. Great plug in

Thank You LePaul

Which plugin do you use to make the supports look so good.

No changes, just the color of the filament?
