Let me know what you think...it adds ratings in the topic list and within the posts.

The rating thing is a bi weird though -- I just liked the last post , and the like rating dropped on the others.

It seems that the post with most likes gets 100%, and the others a pro-rata
-> Max is 3 -> 100%
-> post with 2 likes -> 66%
-> post with & like -> 33%

In my view it does not add any values, it is enough to see that user a,b,c like post from user d.

Shouldn't we drop the stars? (And keep the rest which is very good)

Line two in that capture...should the topic rating go away?

I think both 'rating' options should go away -- we don't care about rating, we just want to say thank you ;)
(Would have to look at the source code to be sure, but from that screen this is my understanding)

I think we should remove this it takes up too much space etc. I think just a number of thanks is best.

These users thanked the author Amedee for the post:

Don't know... I think it is fun to see who praised...
It takes less space than a 'thank-you reply' and on the long run I guess not everybody will like every posts like we are doing now...

Yes, give it some time. It's a new item. I don't think people will use it on every post as time goes on :)

I did make three more changes...

1) Turned off 'Informative messages'
2) List Thanks in Profile is off now
3) Block information about the author Thank counter is off now
