Yup, Facebook on mobile sucks 😕
It's slightly better in a desktop browser...but only slightly.

The only thing Facebook excels in is ease of posting.

Who still uses Facebook anyways? :P

Received some nice things last week. New TIG-welder soon to be ready (only need Argon gas and a welding table), and I ordered some samples from Misumi for my upcoming printer build. I think I have finally found the perfect parts for Ultimaker style cartesian printers.
For prototypes, use BFLB8-15, which is a precision oil-free bushing. It fits PERFECTLY onto Misumi's G2 ground shafts (ideally SSFJ-8, the stainless steel variant. Because you need no oil). This is a very expensive part, because it has been pre-fitted and toleranced. You only need to stick it into a printed slider block and have great precision.
If you have the tools to drill holes into aluminum and hone them to h7 tolerance (Note: Those tools cost quite a bit, but it's not black magic or anything), you can buy an alternative bushing for 0.90 EUR which has the same precision once it has been fitted to such a precise mounting hole. So you can make a prototype with "no" tools, and then switch to series production - if you want to - and actually make a relatively cheap slider block with built-in high precision bushing.

/edit:
Oh, and of course be prepared to see a fully welded stainless steel printer frame :)
I hope I won't fk this up completely :D

The Facebook Groups are tough to follow, one has to really make use of the search function since you can't link a post.

The spool holder on the UMO+ is not the best. It's either too small, or too big, or too "sloppy". If you are not using it anymore what are you using instead?

We found a great way to give away some of our Ultimaker robot test pieces.
We had a scout about for some of our local geocaches and left one in each of the ones we found, 3 out of the 5 we set our walk about, :-D

Almost done setting up my new TIG welder. Now I only need to sharpen the tungsten electrode (thinking about making a diy electrode sharpener) and put everything together. Should get the first results next weekend, hopefully.

If Amazon delivers as promised, I will be busy outdoors tomorrow: The key switch on my electric garage door opener decided to break and the door went up & down erratically. Now I have to replace the whole thing.
I thought I could fix the old one but the lousy micro switches inside just felt apart when I took a look.

I've been camping mostly. Grants Pass, Oregon (2 days), Southern Oregon coast (1 day), Oregon Country Fair (4 days). Spending this weekend in my shop working on a garden bench for my former manager (he retired last week), then off camping again next weekend.

Busy schedule.
