I've seen a few "predictions" on volume (300 x 300 x 300 or slightly better)

As I posted over there...my hopes...

1) Affordable (ha ha ha....I know better)
2) Can fit LARGE filament spools. Those 750's are overpriced and too small for large prints
3) If it has an onboard camera, let's hope it is at least 1080P or better. The UM3 camera was pretty sad.
4) It looks like a single z screw....I just hope the plate is very stucturally sound and not bouncing around.
5) Flat glass...or a nice print surface....polyproplene or a flexible / magnetic removable build plate would be ideal

There's a new Ultimaker. This is the first I've heard about it, did I somehow miss out on the hype? Or were there no earlier announcements?

(Accidentally posted this in the wrong topic before... oops)

There was a non-descriptive announcement about a week ago (just a few posts above).

I wonder how they support their "industrial-class results" claim. Imho that is pure marketing bs because if you've ever seen an industrial-class 3D print (for example Shapeways' "Strong & Flexible" SLA Nylon) then this is really ridiculous...
They should just stick to what they're good at: Producing good, reliable MAKER 3D-printers. And market them as such.

Agree! Maker and Education is what they have been good at and should concentrate on. But as long as people buy the UM3 and now the UM5 as "industrial grade" for "industrial grade prices"... why not take their money :-)

Well I saw a few teaser videos posted on Facebook, then I got all the details from a MatterHackers mailing.

I like the dimensions....but $5995 .... ?? A Raise3D N2 Plus is $3300

And with little to no fanfare, Cura 3.3 was also released. Downloading it now.

Update: And...it crashed on start. Something with converting configs. Will debug later.

And 3.3.1 came out...to resolve the crashes.

Geez....I guess the testing wasn't very thorough?

To be honest, no one tests his stuff these days...

I have one of the most expensive gaming mice you can buy. Haven't been able to install the driver since 3 or 4 updates, and there are no solutions to the problem. My OS is clean and tidy, I know my way around PC administration quite well.. (but that's what they all say, I know :-/ )

Still quite poor though :P
