Split stl File

Can I split an stl file from before slicing in Cura? For example, ThingiVerse item
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3032434 Small Box with Screws, I'd like to separate the screws, box and lid before slicing so I can print them separately.

I downloaded the model from
https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3032434
I found that when I used Idealmaker slicer to split the model the lid was in 4 parts the box accounted for 8 parts.
I tried a 2nd slicer MatterControl below is a good view of what was seen..
I Tried to use ThinkerCad an online slicer, this also failed.
