Thingiverse going the Ultimaker route - downhill :-(

Post by reibuehl »

Looks like Thingiverse has pulled an Ultimaker move and released a new revision of their website that is a complete fail! Loading times are horrible - >1min to just open a design.

@LePaul will you take over that one too? :-D

Took a few minutes to test the Thingiverse.
It took over a minute to load the main window.
Then it took over 3 minutes to load the window of the model that was selected.
And then another minute to load the download page.

This demotes to 5 minutes to download a simple model.

Second model way over 10 minutes, with disabled Add Blocker Plus thinking it caused problems.

@reibuehl are correct they have messed it up really good.

Yeah they made a change to their website recently and I don't know if that added to their woes.

Meanwhile MyMiniFactory works fine!
