Good video! And a kick in my butt to finally install the PEI-coated aluminium build plate in my UM2 that is laying at home now since half a year... :-D

I've been curious if those non-stick cooking surface companies were going to notice 3D printing and make something equally impressive for our use!

That was an interesting video, I use my wife's hair spray which has worked on all the materials I've tested accept ABS, but I've yet to actually spend time testing ABS.

On that topic, any feedback on using carbon fiber plate instead of glass plate?

Or (perforated) glass fiber plates (FR4/G10, ...) ?

That's interesting, Amedee... I have fiber plate (G10) I use for the electronics tray for R2, so all the electronics get mounted on that

I never thought about it being a possible print surface

I don't now the details (hence my questions) but I have seen pictures of prints where the print was sticking so well to the fiber plate that the plate itself started warping!

Try it, experiment, bust a part or two, have fun.

Seriously, how many depend on inductive z-axis homing sensors? Might have to goto a switch or opto instead. Have both...
