Dual hotends with bowden extruders

Post by JoelR »

Anyone have a working setup using dual extruders and dual hotends? I have the hotends functioning correctly (all-be-it using the cooling fan output for the second heater instead of the dedicated terminals which I would like to correct) but the second extruder appears to be using some sort of default stepper configuration which is way too fast. Can't seem to find the right variables to set this. Definitely a config issue as the secondary extruder is the same extruder I started off with as my primary (E0) and it stepped correctly there. Machine is the desktop metal with the MKS v1.4 board currently configured in Marlin as the RAMPS_14_EEB motherboard. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Think I solved the HEATER_1 issue. Appears there is a dedicated MKS board type which is an extension of RAMPS_14_EFB. It sets HEATER_1_PIN to 7 which is -1 in 14_EFB. Will try it out when I get home this evening.
