Hictop 3DP-08 Acrylic conversion to 2020 extrusion frame

Post by Chaco »

I have decided to share my files for the 2020 extrusions frame conversion i did to my Hictop 3DP-08 acrylic. Hope this comes handy for many of you.
The Hictop Prusa i3 Acrylic 3DP-08 printed great for me. Only problem was ghosting on prints with speeds over 60mm/s. So after the great success of my hypercube i decided to also built a 2020 frame and transfer all hardware and electronics over. I have gained 35mm in Z height in the process.

I recommend getting you 2020 extrusions from Misumi. They dont charge you per cut and have the right extrusions that have the 6mm channel. They are the best price around anyways too.

BOM for 2020
(3) 440mm
(2) 340mm
(2) 237mm
Whole bunch of M5 bolts and T nuts

The "shoes" STL is to be printed with TPU to recude noise, vibrations and printer movement.
