I'm totally new to the 3D printing world, but I just bought a the HICTOP 3DP-11. Right off the bat I've been extremely impressed with the quality of prints so far, but I can see from the discussions here that there's plenty I can improve on!
Just wanted to say thanks for all the effort that people have put in so far, there's loads of really great information on here!
Thank you for all your work!

Hi all,
Just built a 3DP-11 as well. I'm being driven to distraction though. I stupidly flashed a different version of Marlin to it because the SD card wasn't working. Now it starts prints a couple of mm above the print bed. I've levelled it correctly etc, but I cannot get it to drop down.
Has anyone got the original firmware that I can reflash?
Chip, you look like you've been doing great work. Are you releasing your version of the firmware?

Ed, look under page 3, dated May 10th for the latest version of firmware I am running on my 3DP-11 HICi3. I had the same problems.EdWeb wrote:Hi all,

You HAVE to *level* and *calibrate* your print bed, firmware does not do that for you. Do not use so called "auto-bed leveling" until you understand all of what is going on. There are how-to's, etc. online for proper bed leveling/setup.
