OctoLapse Plugin for OctoPrint

Post by Roberts_Clif »

Today found a new plugin for Octoprint called OctoLapse.
To install simply click on the tool in OctoPrint menu.
Select Plugin Manager
Scroll down to bottom
Click on Get More an search for OctoLapse then install
I choose to watch this video to show me how to configure.
This was a simple to understand video allowing me to setup Octolapse in a matter of minutes.
When I have more time will checkout the options more carefully to see how much versatility Octolapse has.

This allows you to snap a picture at every layer height from the same position. Sweet!!!
As most of you know I have multiply printers, so when i setup the 2nd printer I forgot to turn off time lapse and got dual videos.
Both came out perfectly one 20fps the other was normal Octolapse at one photo per layer. Though they say this is not a good ideal.

Here is a sample video of a 1st video of a simple bed clamp.

Heard of it and it's pretty neat.

My favorite Octoprint plugin is Octoprint Anywhere :)

Have never printed when not close enough to monitor the 3D Printer.

Powered on my Hictop 3DP12 - 24volt 3D Printer the day before Christmas and blew the power supply,
Sparks were flying out threw the 3D Printed Supply cover, as there is a vent hole in the bottom.

Thought would make a video of how to repair a Switching supply.
Did a quick diagnostic to see if it was worth repairing, parts cost grew to more than a replacement supply.
Replaced with the Backup S-480-24 supply had purchased for the 12V 30A 360watt supply on 3DP11.

Supply on order will be here by Dec 31

Never Mind jumped the gun, Somehow I lost the Bed leveling Data as soon as I hit post and viewed to post I saw the Error.

Error reported by printer
Your printers firmware reported an error
;; This is where for some reason I must have stopped reading.
Due to that Octoprint will disconnect.
Reported error: Failed to enable Bed Leveling.
;; I never seen the line for some reason!!!

Whewww! sure am glad didn't flash the older Marlin 1.1.9BF

This has to be the first time I have seen the Auto Bed Leveling data fail to restore Bed Leveling Data...

They probably changed the memory map location with the firmware update. Happens, even on a PC, which is why it is recommended to restore factory defaults and then change your settings when you update the BIOS in your PC (although some newer systems will store your settings before blasting away, then restore them).
