I guess what really impresses me about this Origianl Prusa i3 MK2 is Ultimaker quality at a much less price point.

Yeah well, the close up has some clear issues with the z and the lines are less clear. Ofc a good test would be to use almost the same settings and same material (at least color & brand).
But it looks like a solid nice diy printer for modders.

I've always liked the Prusa printers...I read about them a lot before deciding to purchase my Ultimaker Original 3 years ago.
I'd love to have one, plus more Ultimakers

A great plus for the Ultimaker is that it's enclosed, ideal for those of us with cats, I'm just redesigning my UM2 hood, I won't be able to finish it before I go on Holiday so it will have to wait until I get back.

I agree, both prints don't look that great imho. Also concluding that the printers perform equally after just 1 print is jumping the gun a bit.
Still, the printer looks good.

Well I would love to obtain one and match it up with the UMO and Ultimaker 2 I have. Could be fun content for a future video
Let's see how well a $800 is versus a $2400 one

I found this review from Thomas Sanladerer much more informative.

Ah, I hadn't noticed that. Its prints are indeed very impressive.
I wonder if he will offer a larger print bed offering...something 12 in x 12 in x 12 in or more

As mentioned in the other topic with the i3 video, I just purchased the printer and the 4 color upgrade kit. We'll see when they arrive.
If they're here and you guys have questions or want to see specific things being printed, let me know
Only thing I'm a bit scared of is that they went from direct drive to boden tubes... hopefully that doesn't have a too big of an impact on flexible filaments.
