Quick question, do you have the i2k washer fitted?
If so check the diameter of the hole and the form of the retracted filament.
I had a similar problem, increased the hole diameter in the i2k a very little and problem solved.

I just checked my UM2E, which does NOT suffer from this issue (at least not with files sliced in Cura 15.04, but as I recall it it works as it should with Cura 2.x too).
It is running on the 15.04ex firmware, so you could try that.

When thinking about it I probably only had this issue after upgrading the firmware using Cura 2.x.
As I can recall, none of the tinkergnome firmwares suffered from the retraction issue, which probably explains why the issues disappeared on my UM2Go

Thanks for the information

Since the UM2E's are on loan, I don't want to put Tinkergnome's firmware on them.

I also recall there was an issue of some sort with it a while back?

Yes, the last versions of the tinkergnome has an elusive bug that makes the printer stop every now and then.
I hope they can find it soon, because it is a great firmware apart from that.

Installing 15.04ex from old Cura should be safe though, just upgrade the firmware with new Cura before you return the printer :-)

Yes, we don't want pauses!

Asides having to use the Move Material and Materials.txt not working...I can live with that until they remedy it. :)
